Richard Murray’s Public Literary Challenge Listing #RMPLCL I started because I realize that art challenges I create with example work are two things. On the one hand , they are examples of my skill as an artist, on the other hand, they are invites for all others to create. In my view, this requires a listing, a place to note. So no matter what happens I can say, this is a catalog of my activities. This is an ever growing work , so add it, and share it, it will continue to grow.

What is your favorite fiction or poem from him?
I admittedly am a fan but I can’t say a particular favorite. He is a writer of poems + short stories like myself , so stylistically I enjoy him. I also illustrate, which to my knowledge he didn’t do. But, I have always been a fan of Metzengerstein. Even though uncredited it is Poe’s first published work, which was a failed contest entry:) classic. But, it is interesting Poe’s first published work. Part fantasy, fable, the horse even connects to Poe’s New York roots as Sleepy Hollow from Washington Irving was published circa 1820.
